about the movement

I’m a 20-year resident of East Moline, a mom of three, a tax-paying citizen, and a local real estate agent. Living just steps from Mitchell Park, I see daily how badly our parks have been neglected.

While money has gone into new business development like The Bend, neighborhood parks have fallen into disrepair. Mitchell Park has broken railings, holes in slides, and unsafe equipment. Wiman Park is in similar shape, with rust, mold, and outdated structures. A few parks have newer pieces, but most updates feel half done and still unsafe.

East Moline families deserve safe, modern spaces to play, gather, and build community without driving to Moline or Silvis. This page is dedicated to calling on the City of East Moline to prioritize park repairs, create a real plan for updates, and involve the community in the process.

Safe, updated parks are not a luxury. They are essential to our children, our families, and the health of our community.
